How much does a small business website cost?

Websites start at $500 for a single-page Starter build and $1,000 for a 4-page Business site. More complex sites with custom integrations, e-commerce, or multi-step flows are quoted after a brief discovery call. All builds include a written project agreement before work begins.

How long does a website project take?

A single-page Starter site typically takes 1–2 weeks. A Business site (4 pages) usually takes 2–4 weeks. Larger projects and custom apps are scoped individually. Timeline depends on how quickly feedback is exchanged.

Do you build custom web apps or mobile apps?

Yes. Kona Studios builds iOS and Android mobile apps using React Native and Expo, and custom web apps with React frontends backed by Node.js, Firebase, or Supabase. App projects are scoped and quoted after a discovery call. See the portfolio for examples including TrailPak and Us & Baby.

Do you offer hosting and maintenance?

Yes. Every site we build can be paired with a monthly care plan starting at $39/mo. This covers managed hosting, daily backups, SSL management, security updates, content edits, uptime monitoring, and priority support. Hosting costs are billed at actual cost with no markup. You can opt out and manage the site yourself, but most clients find it worth not having to think about it.

Do you help with SEO and Google Business Profile setup?

Yes. All builds include basic SEO setup: title tags, meta descriptions, canonical tags, XML sitemap, and JSON-LD structured data. Business and Growth plans include more thorough SEO work. Google Business Profile setup and verification assistance is available as an add-on for local businesses.

Do clients work directly with the developer?

Yes — always. There are no account managers, no project coordinators, no hand-offs to junior staff. You communicate directly with the developer writing your code. This keeps projects moving faster and avoids miscommunication.

What kinds of businesses do you work with?

Kona Studios works with small businesses, independent service providers, tradespeople, and early-stage founders who need quality work without agency overhead. Past and current projects span local IT companies, outdoor recreation apps, and parenting tools. If you have a real problem that needs a real solution, this is probably a good fit.

Do you work with clients outside Colorado?

Yes. Kona Studios is based in Colorado but works with clients across the US. All projects are managed remotely via video calls, email, and shared documents. Location has never been a barrier to good work.

What does the process look like?

It starts with a short discovery call or email exchange to understand your project. Then a written proposal with scope, timeline, and price. A deposit starts the work. You review drafts, give feedback, and we iterate until it is right. Final delivery follows the remaining balance. Simple and documented throughout.

What happens after my site launches?

All plans include a post-launch support window (30 days for Starter, 60 days for Business, 90 days for Growth). After that, you can continue with a monthly care plan, hand off to your own hosting, or reach out on a project basis when something needs updating. The site is yours — you are never locked in.
